This celebration marks the shortest daylight day of the year signifying a turning point from darkness to light that can be seen as a symbol of rebirth, renewal, and hope for the coming year.

We will celebrate around the fires on our mountain with warm drinks, poetry, crafts, music, and friends while inside you can shop for last minute items during the Ascutney Outdoors Holiday sale.

This event is free and sustainable - a carry in, carry out event. Please bring a cup for the wassail drink, a scarf or the like to join in the dancing around the fires, merriment and joy for an evening of remembering the past year and welcoming in the new year with light.
